I
had taught guitar ( from Primary School pupils to adults in
Night Classes ) for many years and found that there wasn't a
tutor book / guide that quite fitted all the needs of absolute
beginners. Some were too complicated, others were asking too
much of students too soon.
So I decided to create a compact guide
which brought together all the best elements that would make
learning easier and also to make it a pleasant experience
for the student. ( A lot of the guide is based on previous
students' inputs )
It is suitable for either acoustic or electric guitar and
is designed for any serious-minded beginner, whatever the
age or ability !
It is straight-forward, un-cluttered, very easy to understand
and is packed with tunes and chords
to learn !.....no pages of mind-numbing exercises !
Many of the students I taught moved on to play many styles,
e.g. Rock, Folk, Country, and at least one, when I last heard,
was performing Classical Guitar !
